Boomer, a 17 year old pit mix, was surrendered to the Manhattan ACC due to his owner’s ill-health. Poor Boomer, who was given to the owner as a gift from a family member at 2 weeks old, found himself alone and scared at the shelter. He was at risk due to his medical condition. The Joey & Oreo Fund stepped up to give Boomer love and dignity in his golden years by sponsoring his stay at a farm in upstate NY, enabling him to be pulled by a rescue.
