Dogs You’ve Helped HEAL

Jessie or J-Lynn had her surgery to remove a humongous 1lb lipoma (fatty tumor)! She is recuperating at home and doing well. J-Lynn really needed this surgery to survive. Her tumor was so big that she could not stand up and fell down. 😿J-Lynn’s mom reached out to us after exhausting all avenues for help and needed $800-900 for the procedure. We shared J-Lynn’s plight on our FaceBook and page and a a BIG THANK YO to everyone for your donations, shares, best wishes and prayers to help HEAL J-Lynn!🐾...

Fred is a senior, but at the age of 10, he still has a lot of life left to live!!! Fred’s owner discovered a lump on his neck. She is disabled and has fallen on very difficult times and NEEDED OUR HELP to save Fred!!! 😿 Fred haD a large mass on his neck, which was suspected to be life-threatening if not addressed!!!! He was in DESPERATE need of surgery to remove the mass, which was infected and became painful. Then Fred’s “tumor” burst and he had to be rushed to the ER. The vet was amazing and figured it was not a tumor, but an abscess that got swollen and infected. She made an incision and drained out the fluid. Fred is doing and feeling so much better. His mom and fur sister Wilma are thrilled to have him home. THANK YOU for donating towards and sharing Fred’s plight! 🙏🏻...

Gigi is doing great and is now in her forever home!! ♥ ...

We see the worst and best of humans in animal rescue. 💔❤️The very lows and highs. It’s the highs that keep us animal advocates and rescuers going. How we’d love to save them all. But so many times we’re too late or just not able too. It truly takes a village, all the behind the scenes action and coordination to save a life!! In this case it was an awesome team of animal advocates who went above and beyond to bring four dogs to safety. Four dogs who’d spent years behind shelter walls to go to a sanctuary, which was sadly closing down. Third time is a charm for these pups 🙏🏻 We could only have done this together. No “I” in “RESCUE”. Happy new life to Jordan and Hunter safe with @ulstercountycanines! To Jaidyn safe with Furry Friends Foster and Rescue Inc! To Maisie safe with her amazing foster! THANK YOU to everyone involved in this almost Herculean task! ...

Twelve year old Charlie has a neurological condition and was dragging himself along the floor forcefully. He had severe pain and cuts and abrasions from dragging himself. His owner, a war veteran from New York City reached out to the H.E.A.L. Foundation for help for his beloved companion. We arranged for Charlie to be examined at the Animal Medical Center in NYC and was given pain meds and an ointment. We also ordered a custom wheelchair that Charlie needed and he is now back to his old self again enjoying his golden years. ...

A Joey & Oreo HEAL Grant was made to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter's medical fund, in order to help these four dogs escape certain death. The rescue efforts, vetting and transport from Texas was painstakingly coordinated by Zen Dog CT. All four dogs are the friendliest of pups and are in Connecticut now and available for adoption. Together we can HEAL more. Love when rescues work together. 🙏🏻❤️Ace belongs to a disabled veteran, who saved him from a roadside in TX. He is dearly beloved by his family and got loose from his home and he was hit by not one, but two cars! Ace had a shattered femur and needed extensive and very expensive surgery. Our ♥Joey & Oreo HEAL Fund♥ donated over 50% of the surgery costs thanks to the advocacy efforts of The Jamie Bug & Tobster Foundation❤️🐶 Ace got his surgery and is now home! He is recovering very nicely and the vet is pleased with his progress. Ace's dad sadly had to sell his car 🚗 to pay the remainder of Ace's vet bill. He is one dedicated dad and we respect him for doing what needed to be done to help his baby! It is because of caring individuals like YOU that make it possible for us to post updates like this and for us to continue to help pets stay with their family!...
